ACCF online

Since we started in 2007 our vision at ACCF has been simple: to eliminate cervical cancer. We're working hard in Australia and overseas to ensure that one day, no one has to face the loss of a mother, wife, sister, grandmother or friend to this highly preventable disease.

Through our programs in Australia and the developing world, we’re helping women and girls access the protection they need to avoid this deadly cancer, while enabling treatment for those already affected and facing related health issues. Our community, workplace and school awareness programs allow us to educate and spread awareness on the importance of prevention and staying up to date with your health checks. We also offer support to women and their families in Australia who are affected by cervical cancer.

Our work overseas focuses on helping women in developing nations freely access vaccinations and treatments they’d otherwise not receive. So far we have a presence in countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Kiribati, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, The Philippines and Vietnam vaccinating girls against HPV (the virus that causes cervical cancer), and screening and treating women for cervical cancer.

National Cervical Cancer Awareness Week 2019 will be held from November 11-17.

The week aims to raise awareness about cervical cancer and encourage Australians to engage in the conversation about cervical health. This year we focus on the key message "5 minutes of your time, for 5 years peace of mind" to remind women to book in for their Cervical Screening Test.

We encourage everyone to get involved during November so that we can continue on with our life-saving work. Whether you buy a t-shirt, start a fundraiser, or paint your nails orange in support, every action can spark a conversation. Together, we can eliminate cervical cancer.
